Camper Trailer or Caravan? Why not have the best of both worlds! Like a traditional tent trailer, you have a light, compact store at home camper with the best outdoor kitchen, but the added caravan benefits of being completely lockable, having a very comfortable queen size bed (with 5” foam or 6” innerspring mattresses), doors on both side for access (so you aren’t climbing over each other), easy setup (aka none), an insulated roof, and can even have air conditioning if you want it, although we include as standard a Transcool evaporative cooler as standard equipment. Because of its small footprint, you can camp in places others can’t, and be set up as soon as you arrive. Now you can set up camp in the dark… No tent = No problems!

Timbren “Axleless” suspension?

No two people are the same nor are their needs for suspensions. It all depends on where you want to go? The Beach, the bush or all around Australia?

At Riptide Campers we give you the option of ride height with Timbren's Award Winning Axleless suspension. The Tsunami can be ordered with 3 different height Timbren suspensions. The standard height is perfectly paired for the SUV market – Subaru Forester/Outback, RAV4 etc. For more clearance (if needed), add a 2” or even 4” lift for more extreme adventures. Even at the standard height, the camper has ground clearance and a departure angle greater than a Patrol or LandCruiser. So if your car can go there, so can your camper!

The short video below shows how Timbren's axleless suspension works. AEON progressive-rate main springs absorb road shock and support trailer's load while delivering a smooth, stable ride, regardless of load size. They compress and become stiffer as load increases, boosting spring strength. Rebound springs act as return devices to minimize rattle and bottoming out creating constant pressure on the arm, so the suspension is never completely relaxed.

Benefits:
- Maintain the same ground clearance on your trailer as you have on your tow vehicle…
- Delivers a smooth, stable ride, regardless of load size.
- Less worrying about axle hang-ups as there is no axle.
